Beschreibung

Diese spezielle Ausgabe von Spielkarten feiert den 50. Jahrestag von Massimo Vignellis ikonischem Design für den MTA-U-Bahn-Plan von 1972.

Bei der Gestaltung dieser klassischen Spielkarten, die vollständig maßgeschneiderte Rückseiten- und Bildkartendesigns aufweisen, die die inzwischen legendäre Beschilderung des meistfrequentierten Verkehrssystems in den USA feiern, wurden keine Kosten gescheut.

Die in Zusammenarbeit mit der MTA produzierten Karten „Fulton Street“ sind eine Liebeserklärung an das beeindruckende Grafikdesign der New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Durch das „Einschneiden“ der von Vignelli so eloquent gestalteten Kurven bieten diese Karten ein Rückendesign, das die kinetische Energie des Nahverkehrs im Big Apple einfängt.

Zusätzliche Karte mit einem Aufsatz von Dr. Kenneth Joh über die Bedeutung des Vignelli-Diagramms.
