Beschreibung
Inspiriert von der klassischen Okito-Schachtel, ist die Hindu BX eine ringförmige Schachtel mit einem Deckel, in der kleine Gegenstände wie ein gefaltetes Stück Papier, ein Ring oder eine geviertelte Spielkarte Platz finden.
In der Mitte befindet sich eine Trennwand, die aus der Sicht des Zuschauers wie der Boden der Schachtel aussieht. Diese clevere Konstruktion ermöglicht es dem Zauberkünstler, zwei Versionen der Schachtel zu zeigen: eine scheinbar leere und eine, die einen versteckten Gegenstand enthält. Beim ursprünglichen Effekt präsentiert der Zauberkünstler die Schachtel mit einer gefalteten Spielkarte, die in seine Handfläche fällt, wenn die Schachtel umgedreht wird. Die Karte trägt dann die Unterschrift des Zuschauers - und ist auf mysteriöse Weise aus dem Kartenspiel verschwunden.
Obwohl der Mechanismus einfach und der Effekt wirkungsvoll ist, hat die traditionelle Version eine Einschränkung: Die Schachtel kann weder von allen Seiten betrachtet noch vom Zuschauer gehalten werden, ohne dass das Geheimnis preisgegeben wird.
Der Hindu BX löst dieses Problem mit einem doppelten Boden, der es ermöglicht, die Schachtel aus jedem Winkel zu betrachten - sogar in der Hand des Zuschauers - ohne die Methode zu verraten. Ermöglicht wird dies durch einen magnetisch befestigten Boden, der sich nahtlos in das Design der Box einfügt. Wenn er auf die Stofftasche gelegt wird, in der er sich befindet, haftet der Sockel magnetisch an einem aufgedruckten Muster oder einem Ornament auf der Tasche, tarnt sich selbst und verschwindet so aus dem Blickfeld. So kann der Zauberer das Objekt in der Box mit einem heimlich in der Hand gehaltenen Objekt austauschen.
