Stell dir vor, du führst einen Schwammball-Trick vor. Nachdem mehrere Schwammbälle aus den Händen deiner Zuschauer erschienen sind, legst du einen weiteren Schwamm in ihre Hand. Frag sie, ob sie etwas oder nichts in ihrer Hand haben. Sie sagen dir, dass sie etwas haben. Du wettest, dass es nichts ist.
Sie öffnen ihre Hand und zeigen „Nichts“ – du hattest recht! Ähnlichen Spaß kannst du mit dem anderen haben: „Glaubst du, du hast etwas in deiner Hand?” Sie antworten: „Ja.” Sie öffnen ihre Hand und zeigen „Etwas”, und du bemerkst, dass sie wohl übersinnliche Fähigkeiten haben müssen!
