On the occasion of the latest cooperation between Shantell Martin with the Whitney Shop, Line by Shantell Martin, Theory11 is proud to announce these two decks as the first of a series with which we want to highlight the work of really groundbreaking artists and illustrators.
Our goal was to combine our expertise in print production with the spirit and the sincerity of the artist's voice - by using playing cards as a unique, handy medium to present the visionary art of shanty.
The playing cards from Shantell Martin are completely individually designed on the inside and outside and show their wonderfully designed narrative style on every centimeter. The cards themselves are carefully framed in canvas -like, blind -shaped paper.
Shantell Martin's characteristic black and white drawings are inspiring and innovative and deal with topics such as intersectionality, identity and play. Their compositions are a cultural mediator that creates new connections between visual art, education, design and philosophy.

The Whitney Museum of American Art, founded in 1930, is the first museum to devote itself to the work of living American artists - it collects, preserves, presents, interpreted and exhibits American art of the 20th century and contemporary art.

Express moon (Fr. 25.00): We offset a flat rate for Express moon delivery. This includes the costs for delivery with Swissexpress Moon, as well as the additional costs for express preparation. The express costs are always incurred, even for shipments above CHF 100.– value of goods.

Shipments abroad only make sense for products that you do not get in your country! We have a partner in Germany for magic articles, here you get almost everything without discount problems!
Most products can also be picked up from us in the shop in Zurich. You can order these products for collection via the online shop or come from us during the opening hours over.
