Center Tear war unter dem damaligen Titel „Return to Center“ das erste Buch der Mental Bizarr Bibliothek (MBB) Reihe und bis heute gehört es zu den erfolgreichsten der MBB, denn nach noch nicht einmal einem Jahr war es bereits vergriffen und erfuhr eine erste Überarbeitung und eine zweite Auflage, die ebenfalls nun schon seit Jahren vom Markt verschwunden ist. Ein ganzes Buch über nur eine einzige Technik?
Auf den ersten Blick scheint diese Technik zu den wenigen Geheimnissen der Mentalmagie zu gehören, die mit wenigen Worten und ein oder zwei Zeichnungen schnell erklärt werden kann.
