Als angehende Bombenentschärfungs-Profis müssen die Spielenden in Bomb Busters als Team zusammenarbeiten, damit die Bombe nicht explodiert! Um ihre Mission erfolgreich auszuführen, müssen sie identische Kabel durchtrennen – einen Teil haben sie direkt vor sich, doch wer ein Kabel mit identischem Wert hat, müssen sie nach und nach herausfinden. Die Info, dass jede Nummer von 1 bis 12 genau vier Mal im Spiel ist, hilft dabei ebenso wie die Sortierung der Kabel jedes Teammitglieds in numerischer Reihenfolge. Zwei durchtrennte Kabel mit identischer Zahl bringen sie einen Schritt näher in Richtung Bombenentschärfung. Durchtrennen sie jedoch Kabel mit unterschiedlichen Werten, rückt die Explosion der Bombe näher. Beim Schnitt eines roten Kabels kracht es sofort und das Spiel endet. Gelbe Kabel mit Dezimalzahlen bringen zusätzliche Herausforderung ins Spiel und Ausrüstungskarten helfen bei besonders kniffligen Missionen.
Bomb Busters ist ein kooperatives Deduktionsspiel mit 66 immer gefährlicher werdenden Missionen und inklusive fünf Überraschungs-Boxen mit zusätzlichen Regeln und Materialien. Durchtrennt werden die Kabel dabei nur im übertragenen Sinn, Spielmaterialien werden nicht zerstört.
