My Best by J.G. Thompson jr. The pages of this book contain the best tricks from the best minds of magic. It does not contain any effects, but the best and most jealous served originals of over a hundred magicians, the names of which represent a "Who's who" among the "inventors of magic".
A compilation of 193 tricks from all divisions of magic. 115 well -known artists, professionals, but also many clever amateurs have participated in this book. The book comprises 380 pages that are well illustrated. I am absolutely enthusiastic about this book !!! In all the years since I bought it for the first time, I have been so surprised that it has no longer received applause or more attention.
There are so many great effects in this book, but the one I love the most is the very first effect in the book, "The Card between". I think the strength of his connection with me is based on the fact that it is (obviously) the first effect that I learned from the book, which quickly convinced me that I had acquired something special.
In my early teenage years I also had the opportunity to demonstrate this effect for Harry Lorayne, David Roth, Loy Simonoff and Sam Schwarz in a session in a café in New York, and then for Dai Vernon, after lunch one day in Magic Castle.
