Die Klappkarte wurde erstmals 1922 in Professor R. Kunards Book of Card Tricks vorgestellt. Seitdem ist sie ein fester Bestandteil der Routinen von Zauberkünstlern auf der ganzen Welt und wird für alle Arten von verblüffenden Effekten eingesetzt. Das ursprüngliche Design aus dem Jahr 1922 hat jedoch seine Grenzen:
Die Zauberer müssen ihr Publikum genau positionieren, konstanten Druck auf die Kartenoberfläche ausüben und die Tricks fast unmittelbar nach dem Aufbau ausführen, um optimale Ergebnisse zu erzielen.
In monatelanger Forschungsarbeit hat Hondo das Design der Flap Card so verfeinert, dass die Karten schneller umgedreht werden können und Falzlinien und Unebenheiten fast vollständig beseitigt werden.
Das bedeutet, dass du (ja, DU) in der Lage bist, vor Publikum auf allen Seiten UND aus der Nähe mit jeder Art von Karte aufzutreten: Das Design sieht auf Assen, Zahlenkarten und Blankokarten gleichermaßen gut aus. Und nicht nur das: Hondos spezieller Verriegelungsmechanismus ermöglicht es dir, einen Flip freihändig zu halten und ihn loszulassen, wenn du bereit bist.
