Chris Philpott's French Postcards is a very entertaining variant of Out of the World with an erotic touch. You will receive postcards in the turn of the turn of the century.
A brilliant out of the world experience! When Chris did this for me, I had one of these *why didn't I think about it? Moments. Presentation gold! -Steve Valentine
A study by Cornell University recently made headlines: subjects were able to predict whether a picture on the left or right side of a computer screen would appear, but only if they used erotic images!
To test the theory, you present 12 postcards from various travel destinations and 12 French postcards (these are old nude photos - elegant, sepiaf colored, naked upper body). The cards are mixed; Then a viewer sorts her without looking by feeling whether a card has sexual energy or not. The result is perfect!
The effect contains 24 specially made postcards, written instructions and links to video instructions, updates, additional effects and a bonus comedy script from Bruce Gold, a professional comedian and magician. In addition, Jon Armstrongs Out of This Blah Blah Blah Blah is contained, the cleanest Ootw treatment ever!
Finally there is a reason to make out of this world that captivates the attention from start to finish. With French Postcards you will never forget you!
-Steve Valentine
The most important sales arguments from French Postcards:
Paul Curry's out of this world (published in 1942) is rightly worshiped as one of the greatest card tricks ever. The plot is clear and seems completely impossible: a spectator uses his intuition to separate the red cards from the blacks. It is powerful, authorized and easy to make ...
And yet it's anything but a perfect trick. What exactly does the audience see in the demonstration? You see someone sorting 52 sheets of paper in two stacks. This is not a magic, that's a shelf!
There are hundreds of methodological variations of the OotW, but most do not respond to the core problem that is to make it entertaining: How can you give someone who hand out cards and try to distinguish red from black, give an emotional use ?
By moving away from the card game, French Postcards achieves several important things:
- More entertainment. At French Postcards, the volunteer does not feel whether the card is red or black - he or she feels whether it feels sexy or not. This becomes more interesting, captivating and funnier. You don't have to tell a single joke - the situation itself is fun (but if you want to tell jokes, the script from Bruce Gold is excellent).
- real. Since the premise is based on a real study, the effect becomes more credible and relevant - this is an effect that can bring the audience to cry and laugh (both can be seen in the trailer).
- Better visibility: the postcards are larger and can be seen better by their audience. The two card types are aligned in two different ways (vertical and horizontal) and have two different color pallets (reddish versus bluish) in order to further increase visibility. The cards are more visually interesting than playing cards.
- More deception. The size of the postcards seems to rule out a pocket trick, which excludes a possible explanation for the execution of the trick.
But despite all these advantages, French Postcards is no more difficult than the original effect.
