Tarot cards for mental magic
The Tarot play consists of a set with 78 playing cards. They are used as fortune telling cards or for psychological purposes. In magic you will find main relationships with mental arts.
The game is divided into the large Arcana, the 22 trump cards from 0 to 21, and the small Arkana, the 56 color cards: ten numbers and four picture cards in four colors each (e.g. rods, coin, chalice and swords). The wordArcanum comes from Latin and means something like "secret". It is guided by the wordarca off what "Box" means. What lies in a box is not visible from the outside and therefore "invisible" or "secret".
The tarot cards belong to the Tarock playing cards family, their history is identical until the end of the 18th century. Afterwards, (tarot) card sets that are explicitly intended as interpretation tools were increasingly symbolic content. In several languages (including French, English, Spanish) the word becomesTarot Even today used for both the fortune telling and the Tarock playing cards.
