Card tricks | Magic tricks with cards

Card tricks, when presented unpractised and dull, can sometimes leave a bad taste. Witnesses to such performances often come away with the mistaken impression that card magic | magic tricks with cards are fundamentally uninteresting. Show them the opposite by setting yourself apart from the “pub-table trickster” with our professional tricks.

Simply impossible card magic

In the McDonalds Aces, four aces somehow wind up in the same packet in an incredible way. In Three Card Monte, despite being completely obvious, the spectator is unable to find the ace. Or the spectator’s card rises, as if by magic, slowly out of the deck without the magician even touching it! These were just a few examples of what is possible with playing cards.

“This thing with cards is an old trick...”

And how old! Card tricks were already being performed in the 14th century! Back then, people still had to fear ending up at the stake as a witch, but card magic kept evolving. Eventually, the famous Viennese magician Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser took card magic to a new level – CARD ART was born. In the 20th century, it was above all the brilliant Dai Vernon who left a lasting mark on the world of card magic with his endless creativity.

The master magician who falls from the sky...

...does not exist in principle. Even the most talented magician cannot avoid countless hours of practice. When working with playing cards, solid basic knowledge of handling, technique, presentation, etc. is just as important as in all other branches of magic. PS: Card magicians do not particularly like the word card trick; they prefer to speak of card tricks.
