Der Kartentrick „Öl und Wasser“ hat schon immer eine große Wirkung auf das Publikum gehabt. Die klassische Version dieses Tricks erfordert jedoch viel Übung. Die hier vorgestellte Version macht sich auf subtile Weise einige Spezialkarten zunutze, die die Ausführung wesentlich einfacher und sauberer machen.
Effekt: Der Zauberer zeigt dem Publikum drei rote und drei schwarze Karten. Die Karten werden einzeln auf den Tisch gelegt, wobei die Farben abwechselnd rot, schwarz, rot, schwarz ... sind. Nachdem die Karten quadratisch ausgerichtet sind, winkt der Zauberer mit der Hand darüber und dreht sie um. Unglaublicherweise haben sich die roten und schwarzen Karten wie Wasser und Öl voneinander getrennt und liegen nun in zwei Stapeln, einem roten und einem schwarzen.
Dieser Effekt kann sofort wiederholt werden, was alle noch mehr verblüfft. Die Zuschauer werden keine Erklärung finden, da der Zaubertrick direkt vor ihren Augen geschieht, ohne dass der Zauberer verdächtige Bewegungen macht.
Die erforderlichen Bicycle Karten werden in einem eleganten Kartenhalter mitgeliefert.
