If you are looking for new routines for family entertainment, "Just for Fun" is a gold mine for new ideas. Christopher T. Magician combines techniques from classic close-up and salon magic with original props such as ketchup bottles, stuffed animals, false mustache and spaghetti.
The result is fresh material for family shows that is contemporary, amazing and hilarious. This bound book contains 325 pages with original routines.
Most of the secrets are based on props that you can probably own or make it cost -effective - and no electric tools are required!
Completely illustrated by the Finnish artist Marti Siren, contains just for fun 50 new routines.
Each of them has been part of Chris' Show since he is one of the most busy magicians in the New York City area. Before you have finished reading this book, you will make a number of effects with adhesive tape, glue, spray glue and photo paper together with many funny, new objects. Read below!
The book describes the scripts, handling and theory in detail. If you incorporate these steady routines into your set, you can be sure that your young audience will laugh out loud.
Each chapter is packed with routines and performance information that cover a variety of categories:
Openers - Sprinkle tricks with eyekins and eggs. Amazekids Danny Orleans' favorite is "Magic Watching", which turns a traditional warm-up into a fun game.
Sucker tricks - Highly interactive routines that use things such as plastic mirrors, jump ropes and ketchup and mustard taps. You also get Chris' advice on how to take the "sting" out of the traditional sucker effect and turn the moment into pure entertainment.
It's on your back - Chris is a master in letting things like a tiny teddy bear, a biscuit or a lice buzzard on the back of the magician. He reveals the design of his slightly heartbreaking prop, which does the job and his theory about how often the "right number of painting" is to do this in their act.
EQUIPMENT - Abbey microphones, slap bracelets, wooden spoons, boomerangs and plungers are part of the brainstorming process, which produces eight great usage props, which you can manufacture and use immediately.
Audience Participation Tricks I - In this chapter you will find a philosophy and six routines that rely on volunteers on stage. Crazy props such as plastic ice cubes, chewing gum, cheese, a money printer, a lollipop, false mustache and a pringles can (without a feather snake) are used in a very original way.
Audience Participation Tricks II - Seven "Play Big" routines that require more than one helper form this chapter. Josh Jay's favorite is with a two -person soft toy. But you also learn how to conjure up with a boxing nun doll, rattling teeth and a fake ice bag.
Captivating Magic - Do you need a break from the laughing magic? Chris dedicates this chapter of the narrative magic, which keeps children captivating and calm. Again, there are original props when you appear with a shiny new mini trophy, a slice of cheese, a volcano or a magical rose.
Not-so-tricky Magic- These seven routines use props to create moments that are not magical, but still get a large amount of "Oohs" and "Aahs" of children. Learn what Chris does with a couple of cheap gloves, a fart pillow, a robot goldfish, an ice cream carton and a table lamp that is anything but usual!
