Du gibst ihr ein Kartenspiel und während du ihr den Rücken zudrehst, schiebt die Zuschauerin je nach Wert der Karte ein paar Karten von oben nach unten, so wie du es ihr gesagt hast. Du nimmst das Kartenspiel, schaust es durch und verkündest die Karte, an die du gedacht hast.
Die Zuschauer sind nur wenig beeindruckt, denn der Trick beinhaltet offensichtlich eine Art Stapel oder Schlüsselkarten und ein mathematisches Verfahren. Du fragst: „Wisst ihr, warum das mein liebster mathematischer Kartentrick ist?“
