The Grateful Dead, founded in 1965, became a cultural institution that survived more than half a century. Due to the fusion of rock'n'roll, folk and jazz with avant -garde, visual and literary traditions, they became one of the most popular, lasting and most influential bands in American history.
A world full of colors - the outer packaging
The packaging is printed with antique book printing machines from the 1960s - with six layers of lively color, which are characterized for a unique haptic experience. The front shows the skull and the roses in the middle, surrounded by an individual composition.
The back design and the aces
The back with the distinctive Steal Your Face-Logo in the middle contains iconic pictures that Dead Heads have known and loved for many decades. The turtles play their melody and the dance bears swing for every note. The Aces also offer a breathtaking full art design with logos and mascot, which are firmly anchored in the history of the band.
A court of colors - Jacks, Queens and Kings
The image cards are simply breathtaking. The use of iconic logos and mascot continues - bears, turtles and skeletons can be seen in lively details. Every centimeter of the deck is fully designed, including the font and design of each individual color.
Printed on hemp paper paper. Each aspect of the cards is 100 % produced in America, using FSC-certified paper that is enriched with hemp fibers for the Tuck Case packaging. The cards are securely sealed with an ivory-colored matt sticker with the stealie-dead head.
